The TU-142 aircraft museum will be ready for throwing open to the public by the end of September, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said.
During a visit on Tuesday to Beach Road where installation work of the disassembled aircraft was going on, he hoped the coming up of the aircraft museum close to the Kursura Submarine Museum would put Visakhapatnam on the world tourism map. The War Memorial would also be further improved.
Earlier, at a review on the projects being implemented by VUDA at the Circuit House, Mr. Srinivasa Rao told Vice-Chairman P Basanth Kumar to finalise the preliminary work for calling for tenders to the flyover at NAD so as to lay the foundation stone in the first week of September.
He also discussed issues related to the proposed construction of an auditorium at MVP Colony and beautification of Mudasarlova park.
Executive engineer Bhavani Sankar was present.
