Visakhapatnam: The Lawson’s Bay beach front park has inaugurated by HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and open to the public on Monday . The park has been developed on around 5.5 acre land at a cost of Rs 2.65 crore.
According to Sources Speaking on the occasion, he said “visitors can enjoy a bath in the sea at the park as it is safer than other beaches in the city”. He further added “seven beaches including Lawson’s Bay beach are being developed along the Vizag-Bheemili stretch”.
BJP leader,Lok Sabha member K Hari Babu said that the park has been developed to provide recreational facilities to the visitors.
“The park has a wide two-lane road that cuts through to the beach from Chinawaltair close to Waltair RTC depot and another entrance from Lawson’s Bay Colony besides Hotel Kamat,” said Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation commissioner M Hari Narayanan.
“The park has beautiful landscaped garden, well-maintained walking tracks, refreshing chairs, interaction space, children’s play area and more” the civic commissioner said.
