President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday, lays foundation stone for E-Classroom Complex and Incubation Centre in Andhra University and inaugurates Centre for Defence Studies in AU. He says “Andhra University is committed to cutting-edge technologies, and their application in fields of public and strategic importance”.
He also stated that “Andhra University has a proud legacy. My predecessor Dr S. Radhakrishnan was the second vice-chancellor of this University. Alumni of University include the current Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu, as well as senior judges, technologists & corporate leaders”
“Andhra University-Defence Joint Education and Research Programme is a distinctive effort for any state university in our country,Extremely satisfying that Andhra University is engaged in R&D projects with defence institutions. Centre for Defence Studies will focus on cybersecurity, nanotechnology, radar and communications, corrosion tech, and other tech that have strategic dimensions ” he added .
Later He inaugurated the TU 142 Aircraft Museum, the first such museum in the country, on the Beach Road here in the presence of Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
