YSRCP ‘Maha Dharna’ Vs TDP ‘Maha Sankalpam’ on same day in Visakhapatnam..!!

Visakhapatnam: The city is set to turn into a political battlefield on June 22 with ruling Telugu Desam Party as well as opposition YSRC Party choosing the same date to propagate their political agendas.

According to the sources ,the YSRCP has planned a MAHA DHARNA in Visakhapatnam on June 22 to protest against land scams and tampering of revenue records. YS Jaganmohan Reddy will come to vizag and lead the protest.

To countering against the Maha Dharna, TDP is also scheduled to a Maha Sankalpam (great resolution) with about 5,000 party activists on the same day in Vizag.

Political analysts says arranging these activities on same-day in Vizag shows that important role that the district will play in the general elections in 2019. Considering that Jagan was himself detained at the airport in his previous visit to the city to participate in a candlelight rally demanding special category status for Andhra Pradesh on January 26, 2017.

When asked why TDP chose the the same day for the Maha Sankalpam, Vizag South MLA and TDP Visakhapatnam urban president Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar said it’s the most opportune time to show to the public the false propaganda unleashed by YSRCP against the government.
The YSRCP has been demanding a CBI enquiry into the alleged land scam that was unearthed a few months ago in pockets of Bheemili, Pendurthi, Anandapuram and other mandals of Vizag. There were also allegations against TDP leaders in a 80-acre piece of land in the posh locality of Daspalla Hills, beside Circuit House, which is valued at about Rs 1,000 crore in the open market.

YSRCP district president Gudivada Amarnath said the Maha Sankalpam is just to sideline the issue. “Why is the TDP government and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu afraid of a CBI inquiry? TDP minister Ch Ayyanna Patrudu openly raised the issue on ongoing land scam in Vizag district. We got the approval from the concerned officials to conduct the mega protest near the GVMC office on June 22 instead of earlier planned venue of district collectorate,” Amarnath said.
